As we step into the festive season, it is also a time for reflection and gratitude – the year 2023 has been nothing short of extraordinary for Inwatec. It has been a chapter filled with noteworthy achievements, collaborative efforts and significant milestones that left a mark on the landscape of the laundry industry. Welcome to a little walk down the Laundrynerd memory lane, where we take a look at the special moments that have defined our 2023.
Five years ago, we embarked on a journey of collaboration with the JENSEN-GROUP, a partnership that has thrived and matured over time. Together, we have pushed boundaries of laundry technology and continue to redefine industry standards. The appointment of our CEO, Mads Andresen, as Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of the JENSEN-GROUP is only a further testament of how we are going to be shaping the future of the laundry industry together.
Inwatec’s commitment to innovation and excellence was recognized on a grand scale as we proudly received the Elastic Excellence Award. This award is not just a trophy on a shelf, but a symbol of the collective effort that’s poured into showing the world what is possible in the world of laundry technology. But it doesn’t stop here: for the fifth time in six years, Inwatec has been nominated for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year – the world’s largest growth competition that recognizes businesses with purpose, vision and entrepreneurial spirit. And, there is even more. Inwatec has also, remarkably for the fourth time in a row, been nominated as one of the “success companies of the year” in the region of Southern Denmark. These awards are only handed out to a special elite of small- and medium sized companies that create growth and solid financial results year after year. Way to go, Laundrynerds!
In 2023, Inwatec also achieved a major milestone: we’ve sold our 500th VORTEX mat rolling machine! It has come a long way from being our smallest mat roller in 2016 to being a true bestseller. The VORTEX contains a patented roll-over feature, which enables the operator to prepare the next mat to be rolled – all while the process for the previous mat is still going on. It optimizes the workflow, keeps the workload steady and leads to less waiting time and higher efficiency. The success of VORTEX is a shared victory – including everyone from our dedicated team to our forward-thinking clients, who embrace innovation. To the next 500!
Last but not least, we want to wrap up the year with a couple of fun facts about the Laundrynerds. In 2023 our team has grown significantly – nothing short but 27 new colleagues have joined the team. At Inwatec, naturally, more people automatically also means more cake, which is why we had it on 88 occasions this past year. Besides cake, the Laundrynerds also went through 15.000 meters of cable, 90.500 cable strips, as well as a whopping 625.000 bolts.
